Attempted abduction at local mall

On Saturday, November 29, at around 5:00 p.m. at the Granite Run Mall Parking lot, a 14-year-old girl stated that someone tried to get her into his vehicle. The suspect's vehicle was parked in the parking lot in a parking stall outside the mall by Ruby Tuesday's, adjacent to Baltimore Pike.

The victim ran towards her parents' vehicle in an adjacent parking stall and they drove to another area of the parking lot to call 911.

The suspect is described as a 52-year-old black male from Chester and driving a 2005 Chevrolet van with rack and ladders on the roof.
