One killed, six wounded in Philly shootings

PHILADELPHIA - December 6, 2008 -

At least three shootings have been reported since midnight Friday.

The first shooting happened at 60th and Lansdowne in Overbrook. Two men were found shot in an SUV. The SUV careered into a traffic light following the gunfire.

Both victims are hospitalized. One of the victims is critically injured with several bullet wounds. No arrests have been made in the case.

A few hours later, police responded to the 500 block of North 2nd Street near Spring Garden Street in Northern Liberties. They found a man shot. He died later at Hahnemann Hospital.

Four people were shot outside a Germantown bar at around the same time. The shooting occurred near Welton Waynes Sports Bar on the 4900 block of Wayne Avenue.

One woman and three men were shot. They're all hospitalized.

Investigators say they arrested a suspect on the scene.

Police have not said if they have a motive in any of the shootings.
