Hundreds of winter-weather lovers are hitting the slopes because dipping mercury means perfect temperatures for making snow! When it's freezing cold and you love the outdoors, there are few things like a ski trip. But wait.... were the people we found on Monday playing hookie from work?

It's good for the ski resorts enjoying earlier than expected season openings. Blue Mountain Ski Area opened on the 28th. You may recall the difficult times had by some resorts in Pennsylvania in December of years past. Well, that's now a thing of the past... At least for now.
The temperatures have already dipped below zero, with the wind chill, a few times this year. Winter doesn't official start for more than a week. That's why skiers and snow boarders are rejoicing.
