Woman's car is going nuts

DEMOTTE, Ind. (AP) - December 11, 2008

The Indiana woman's turn signal and windshield wipers wouldn't work.

When she opened the hood, she found out why.

Thousands of black walnuts were inside the engine compartment.

She figures a chipmunk used her car to store its nuts, after she hadn't driven it in several weeks.

It cost Wideup more than 200 bucks for towing and repairs.

She doesn't want the critter to make its self at home under her hood again.

Now, Wideup is alternating between her two cars, so neither sits too long.
