He collects the Christmas decorations and has about 2,500 of them.
He puts them all on a 10-foot tall artificial fir in his Richmond, Va., home.
But it can be tricky.
Each year Kern says he breaks a couple of the glass ornaments, which he's been collecting for 30 years.
It takes him most of January to dismantle his tree and pack the decorations away.
He says he also starts shopping for his new ornaments after the first of the year.
