Reports: Weapons, ammo seized at Burress' NJ home

(AP) - December 24, 2008

The New York Post and Newsday are both reporting, using anonymous law enforcement sources, that a handgun, rifle and ammunition for three other guns have been found in his home in Totowa.

His lawyer, Benjamin Brafman, says it's not illegal to have a registered weapon in your home and that he hasn't heard of any new changes being filed against Burress.

Burress accidentally shot himself in the thigh last month when he fumbled an unlicensed gun at a New York nightclub.

He's also being sued for hitting a woman's car with his $140,000 Mercedez-Benz, which was apparently uninsured.
