Blaze critically injures infant

WILMINGTON, Del. - December 24, 2008

Officials tell Action News that two adults and three children, ages 6, 8 and 18 months, lived in the home. The adults and 2 older children were treated for minor injuries. The 18-month-old is in critical condition and was transferred to A.I. DuPont Hospital for treatment.

Firefighters quickly put out the flames in a second floor bedroom. Fire damage was contained to one room and the rest of the second floor sustained smoke and water damage. There were no working smoke detectors, according to firefighters.

· The Wilmington Fire Marshal's Office responded to investigate the blaze. The fire is still under investigation.
