7 displaced by Colwyn fire

COLWYN, Pa. - December 29, 2008 Flames were first reported around 9:30 in the 400 block of Ellis Avenue in Colwyn, Pennsylvania.

When firefighters arrived they found heavy fire in the home.

Officials tell Action News that electrical wires behind the building fell causing the back of the home to catch fire. There were also reports of propane tanks exploding.

Neighboring homes also received some damage, but despite the fire's intensity crews were able to keep the blaze at one alarm.

No word on an official cause of the fire.
