January 6, 2009

Soon, QVC will be joining the inaugural party.

The cable TV shopping channel is planning live broadcasts from Washington Jan. 20, the day of President-elect Barack Obama's inauguration.

QVC is bringing along plenty of commemorative coins, stamps, and jewelry to sell.

A gold presidential pocket watch with Obama's picture will go for 90 bucks.

QVC says it has already sold more than 100,000 items related to Obama's election.

Network officials say broadcasting from Washington will give the audience a sense of the electricity in the air.
