Dover woman chosen to ride with Obama tour

DOVER, Del. (AP) - January 7, 2009 Forty-one-year-old Quincy Lucas will be part of "a group of everyday Americans" accompanying President-elect Barack Obama and Vice President-elect Biden on an Inaugural Whistle Stop Tour on Jan. 17.

Lucas is a fourth-grade teacher at Silver Lake Elementary School and became an advocate for victims' rights and domestic violence awareness after her sister was murdered in 2003.

Her husband Kevin, and her three children, will travel with her on the train tour, which will begin in Philadelphia and make stops in Wilmington and Baltimore before arriving in Washington.
