Crozer-Keystone to eliminate 400 positions

CHESTER, Pa. - January 7, 2009 - The company says it is experiencing a decline in admissions, a drop in outpatient volume, and an increase in bad debt. This, along with fewer reimbursements from the state, have lead to a decline in revenue.

Crozer-Keystone says no services will suffer because of these cuts.

They also point out that, while 400 positions will be eliminated, it does not mean 400 people will be losing their jobs.

Crozer-Keystone has 5 facilities in the area: Crozer-Chester Medical Center, Delaware County Memorial, Taylor, Springfield, and Community Hospital of Chester.
