New Castle County Police are investigating a possible kidnapping. The abduction allegedly occurred Sunday night in the Hampton Walk Apartments in New Castle.

Police responded to the area of 1507 New Jersey Avenue shortly after 9:20 for a report of a possible kidnapping in progress. Two witnesses told police that they had just arrived home when they heard someone screaming.

The witnesses said they saw a Hispanic male shouting for help as he was pushed into a white minivan by a stocky black male. The victim was shouting in Spanish for help, asking for someone to call police.

The van quickly drove off on New Jersey Avenue toward Bacon Avenue.

Police have searched the area hospitals and notified the surrounding agencies, but have not received any reports from loved ones reporting an abduction or missing person.
