UPDATE: Charges made in Oxford pharmacy robbery

OXFORD CIRCLE - January 17, 2009 Raheem Brooks, 28, and Keith Jacobs, 21, were arrested and charged with the robbery that occurred on Thursday, January 15, 2009, at Oxford Circle Pharmacy located.

Both males are being investigated for any connection to any additional robberies and are being charged with criminal conspiracy, aggravated assault, robbery, and other related charges.

On Thursday afternoon police were called out to the Oxford Circle Pharmacy at 1501 East Cheltenham Avenue for the report of a robbery in the Oxford Circle Section.

The scene began when two men walked into the Oxford Circle Pharmacy, pulled out guns, and demanded money and goods.

There were three employees and three customers in the store at the time.

One employee was able to trigger a silent alarm.

As police arrived, the two gunment were leaving the store.

There was gun fire. Most of the customers and employees managed to get out the back door.

When the gunmen came back inside, two shots were fired.

One employee suffered a graze wound to the head.

Police surrounded the building for over two hours because the two gunmen told them that a third was inside.

When police finally barged in to the store, nobody was inside.
