Hit and run in West Chester

WEST CHESTER, Pa. - January 17, 2009 - Police have released limited information in regards to the hit and run accident that occurred in front of Barnaby's Tavern on High Street near Market Street in West Chester around 1:30 a.m.

Authorities are searching for a green Ford with a smashed windshield with PA tags that fled north on High Street.

They hope to use security cameras to get additional information.

The victim was taken to a waiting medical helicopter and flown to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in critical condition.
