An accident in Gloucester County has taken a terrible toll.

Seven teens were in a Nissan Altima when it veered off of Breakneck Road in Mantua.

Police say a 17-year-old girl lost control of the car while trying to go around a sharp curve. The car careened into a ditch, hit a tree, then rolled over.

The driver died in the wreckage.

Police and ambulance crews got the call about four o'clock this morning. When they arrived, they found the other six trapped in the car. They were freed from the twisted metal and rushed to Cooper Hospital in Camden. Their conditions have not been released.

Police have not identified the driver. They have not determined what caused the crash.
