What do you do with your junk mail?

Annette Lawrence saves hers -- for art's sake.

The Austin, Texas, artist set aside every catalog, sale flier and take-out menu she got for more than a year.

She then tore her junk mail into 2-inch wide strips, and displays them as part of an exhibit she calls "Free Paper."

Lawrence said she wants viewers to think, "Wow, that is a lot of paper."

He junk mail art project will be shown at an Austin gallery through Feb 6.
