Over the past two days ten communities in the Brandywine Hundred area have experienced multiple thefts from vehicles during the overnight hours. Brandon, Brandywood, Chapelcroft, Kimberly Chase, Rockwood Hills, Shipley Woods, Talleybrook, Talley Hill, Weldin Park and Weldin Ridge have all reported thefts.

The investigation has revealed that all of the victims' cars involved were left unlocked. The suspect(s) involved removed items such as electronics, cash, purses and other items of value.

Police were able to track the movements of at least one suspect who left foot prints in the snow.

It appears the person was walking along the street and into several driveways of the surrounding homes searching for unlocked cars.
