Pa. nudist's wife sues owner drowning

PENN HILLS, Pa. (AP) - January 23, 2009

But Mary Sullivan, who owns Olympic Swim and Health Club in Penn Hills near Pittsburgh, says the nudists who leased her pool every other Saturday night since 1984 sought privacy and agreed to provide their own life guard so she's not responsible.

Sullivan is responding to a lawsuit filed earlier this week by Barbara Daugherty of Greensburg, whose husband Ronald, drowned at the club's pool on April 14, 2007. Daugherty's attorney says state law requires lifeguards at such functions, despite any agreement to the contrary.

Sullivan says she's been providing a life guard and charging $50 extra since Daugherty first threatened to sue two years ago.
