Save money without scrimping on romance

January 28, 2009

For savings on gourmet chocolates, check out the winter clearance sale on the Godiva website.

You can save up to 60, even 70%, on items that were originally marketed for Christmas, but still make great gifts.

For example, and eight-piece gold box assortment was $15, but is now just $6.

A chocolate party tower was originally $45 and is now just $13.50.

And how about some free Valentine's cards?

Stories By Everyone, a scrapbooking site, is offering six free Valentine's photo cards, along with free shipping.

Just pick a design, upload a photo and order.

Additional cards are sold in packs of 6 for 89-cents each.

As for flowers, you can save by pre-ordering beautiful rose bouquets.

BJ's website offers 27 premium red roses in a vase with Hypericum berries for $79.99 -- including delivery. Costco's website has 35 long-stemmed roses delivered in a vase with baby's breath for just $64.99. And 1-800-Flowers.com has one dozen boxed roses for about 37 dollars, though the price can be higher depending on where and when you want them delivered.
