David Gonzalvez scored a career-best 36 points for Richmond (11-10, 3-3). Ryan Butler added 12 points.
The teams played a dismal first half, combining to shoot 10-for-45 (22 percent) while committing 15 turnovers. Both set lows for points in a half this season, with the Owls leading 16-13 at the break.
Inge had nine points during a pivotal 20-6 run midway through the period that turned a 25-24 deficit into Temple's largest lead of the game, 44-31 with 7:58 left.
Gonzalvez kept Richmond within striking distance, scoring 27 of the Spiders last 34 points. But Richmond never got closer than eight points.
For Temple, Juan Fernandez scored 15 points, Ryan Brooks 13 and Lavoy Allen had 10 points and 11 rebounds.
The Owls shot 38-for-48 from the line, while Richmond went 16-for-19.
Temple had a season-high 58 points in the second half.
