NJ man ordered to trial in woman dragged case

A New Jersey man accused of injuring his girlfriend by driving off as she hung onto his pickup truck is ordered to stand trial in Pennsylvania.

Police say Christine McGhee of Warminster, Pa., was badly injured by 20-year-old Michael P. Marrone of Marlton, N.J.

Marrone was ordered to stand trial on aggravated assault and other charges after a preliminary hearing Tuesday.

McGhee was found before dawn Dec. 5 with severe facial and head injuries in a a parking lot on the campus of Kutztown University, where she was a student. She was airlifted to Lehigh Valley Hospital.

Police say the two had attended a party together in the hours before and had been seen arguing.
