Lily Allen's new album gets bargain price

NEW YORK (AP) - February 5, 2009

The 23-year-old British star is teaming up with MySpace Music and Amazon.com in a promotion that will offer her sophomore CD, "It's Not Me, It's You," for that low price until Feb. 16. The CD is out Tuesday. MySpace Music has already been offering a free preview.

Allen is also planning to promote the album with free concerts in London, Tokyo and New York City. While the Manhattan venue has been revealed - the show will be held Tuesday at the Bowery Ballroom - fans have to go to MySpace for the location of the other two events.

The Pussycat Dolls and Dierks Bentley have also offered their CDs for $3.99 on MySpace Music in the initial days of the albums' release. Kanye West and the Killers recently had their discs available on iTunes for $4.99.

New CDs are usually about $10 to $20 in retail stores and on some online sites.
