After seeing what was inside, authorities say she got a ride to Hahnemann Hospital.
After she arrived, a HAZMAT team told the woman, her driver, and 10 other people in the e.r. to stay where they were, and the emergency room was placed into isolation.
A HAZMAT team also went to the 14th floor of the building where the woman was working and had it evacuated until the situation was under control.
There is no word yet on what the substance was.
The substance was determined not to be harmful.
In a statement, Hahnemann Hospital said that normal operations in the e.r. were not interrupted during the incident.
