Fire broke out at approximately 12:47 a.m. in a 2-story row home in the middle of the 7300 block of Malveron Avenue in Overbrook Park.
When firefighters arrived they found smoke and flames pouring out of the second floor of the house, and a number of people running out of the building.
All the residents managed to get out safely.
Firefighters gained control of the blaze in about 15 minutes, officially declaring control at 1:07 a.m.
The Red Cross is assisting with lodging for two women.
Investigators have not yet determined a cause.
