Flames gut old Jersey farmhouse

MIDDLE TOWNSHIP, NEW JERSEY - February 11, 2009

The fire broke out about 2:30 Wednesday morning, and quickly lit up the wood-frame home on route 47 in the Goeshen section of Middle Township.

It took more than an hour for five fire companies to contain the 3-alarm blaze.

Everyone in the house got out safely, but the fire has gutted the home.

Investigators think the large stone fireplace may have sparked the blaze.

The home was builit in 1887.
