Drug, counterfeiting bust at store

WILMINGTON, Del. - February 16, 2009 - Police say they've been investigating "One Stop Hip Hop Shop" at 710 N. Market Street for two months, after receiving a number of tips back in December regarding the sale of illegal drugs and counterfeit CD's and DVD's.

Investigators say, they made undercover purchases as part of the probe into the store.

On Friday, February 13th, police say they executed a search warrant, and arrested:

  • Charles Jones 36 of the 2000 Blk. of Newport Gap Pike
  • Aaron Malloy 32 of the 200 Blk. of Keats Court, Sicklerville, NJ
  • Ismael Rivera of the unit Blk. of S. John Street. Newport.
  • Jermaine Sullivan 31 of the 500 Blk. of Dougfield Road, Newark.

Jones, Malloy and Rivera are facing numerous drug and counterfeiting charges. Sullivan was charged with posession of marijuana.

Police say they seized 477 grams of marijuana worth more than $2,300, a Glock 23 .40 caliber handgun, a digital scale and numerous empty bags. Police also seized a disc maker.

The bootleg DVD's were turned over to an agent for the Recording Industry of America.

Authorities say the gun that was recovered was found to be stolen out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Weapons charges are pending the results of DNA testing.
