Widener's Spring Dinner Series

The School of Hospitality Management at Widener University announces the 2009 Spring Dinner Series. Throughout the semester, members of the public are invited to experience exquisite dining and vibrant flavors from around the world in a casual, yet refined, atmosphere.

Served in the Heintz Dining Room on the Main Campus of Widener University in Chester, the four-course dinners are prepared on select Wednesday evenings from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Prices range from $16-$23 and reservations are required.

The Spring 2009 Dinner Series includes:

February 18, 2009 - A Florida Sampler
February 25, 2009 - Cuisines of the Mediterranean
March 11, 2009 - Famous New Orleans Restaurants
March 18, 2009 - The British Isles
April 1, 2009 - Flavors of Northern Italy
April 8, 2009 - A Taste of the Carolinas
April 15, 2009 - Feasts of Provence
April 22, 2009- An Evening in Seattle

To make reservations, or for more information, please contact Lindsey Ruby, restaurant manager, at 610-499-1127. The Heintz Dining Room is located on the first floor of Academic Center North on 17th Street between Walnut Street and Melrose Avenue.

The dinner series gives upper-class students the opportunity to learn all aspects of fine dining as they operate their own restaurant as chefs, servers, bartenders and managers. Each week, the students are assigned a theme and are given the sole responsibility of researching recipes, calculating production costs and managing staff.
