All five men have asked a judge to overrule the verdict, claiming it wasn't supported by the evidence. The government responses to the other men's requests are expected to be filed soon.
Prosecutors say Tatar was motivated by religious reasons to kill soldiers and took concrete steps toward doing so.
The men could face life in prison when they're sentenced in April.
