Robber's image captured by store surveillance

Police in New Castle, Delaware are looking for a man who robbed a variety store. On Thursday, January 22, 2009 at approximately 6:40 p.m. a man entered the Community Variety Store on Christiana Road. The man approached the register, implied he had a weapon and demanded money from the clerk.

The clerk turned over an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 30-35 years of age, 5'09" tall, 180 lbs., average build, with a scruffy appearance.

Images of suspect were captured on surveillance video. Anyone who may recognize this subject in the pictures is asked to contact police at (302) 834-2630 ext. 6.
