When Doug Updike goes to work he has to worry about running into alligators, poisonous snakes or snapping turtles.
And he can't even see them coming.
Updike is part of team of specialized divers who maintain South Florida's murky flood control canals.
He says when you bump into something it could be another diver, a 800-pound manatee or a 12-foot gator.
But Updike isn't complaining.
He says he rather be dodging water snakes than sitting behind a desk all day.
