Lots of loot looms from local lotteries

Dan McLaughlin was buying a bunch of tickets for 11 coworkers. Artie's News Stand in South Philadlephia was selling plenty of tickets for the $150-million drawing.

$80 million if you take the cash.

Owner Artie Johnson says he's seen a lot of workers pooling their money to buy tickets, more than usual, and he thinks it has something to do with the economy.

The Mega Millions jackpot has jumped to $171 million after Tuesday night's drawing went winnerless. The winning numbers were: 1-27-28-35-40. Mega Ball 6.

Mega Millions is played in New Jersey and 11 other states.

Tonight's Powerball drawing, that you can see live right here on 6abc just before Action News at 11, is at an estimated $150 million. You can get your Powerball tickets in Pennsylvania and Delaware.
