Citizens Bank robbery

The FBI and the Philadelphia Police Department are seeking the public's assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the robbery of the Citizens Bank branch located at 1701 JFK Boulevard earlier Thursday.

The suspect entered the bank at about 4:13 pm. Witnesses say he brandished a black semi-automatic handgun. The suspect is described as a black male in his mid 30's, approximately 6'2" tall, medium build, wearing a black knit cap, navy blue nylon jacket with white stripes down the sleeves, dark gloves, black jogging pants and sneakers. He also had some type of dark colored scarf or bandana over his face.

After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber fled the area of the bank on foot in an unknown direction. There were no injuries.

The suspect is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department. There may be a reward available for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of this subject. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
