The search is on for the pickup truck that slammed into two parked cars, then plowed into a house in the Rhawnhurst section of Philadelphia.

Police say about 2:30 Friday morning the truck went out of control on the 2000 block of Solly Avenue near Castor Avenue.

It first smashed into two cars then kept right on going, boring into the front of a house. The driver then reversed the truck and sped off.

Police say the pick up has front end damage and is missing both side mirrors. It was last seen speeding off down Bustleton Avenue.

The crash left a gaping hole in the house and damaged the main support beam, but everyone inside escaped injury.

Officials from the Department of Licenses and Inspections are trying to determine if the home is safe to stay in.

Witnesses have given police differernt makes of the truck.

They say it's dark colored but have not agreed on whether it is a Ford, GMC or Chevrolet.
