Two jailed after LSD sting

The Delaware State Police say they've arrested two men from Baltimore, Maryland after an undercover drug operation.Police say they learned that 46-year-old Robert Ewers would be delivering LSD and marijuana to the parking lot of a business on South Main Street in Bridgeville on Thursday.

Investigators set up surveillance, and watched as Ewers arrived at the location. Police found 220 doses of LSD and 29 grams of marijuana. A digital scale was found inside his car.

Ewers was arrested for Trafficking LSD, Possession with Intent to Deliver LSD, Delivery of Marijuana Hashish, Maintaining a Vehicle for Keeping Controlled Substances, and 2 counts of Possession of Drug paraphernalia.

Ewers was committed to SCI in default of $40,000 cash bond.

Detectives also contacted a passenger named Richard Rorke, 56, of Baltimore. Police say Rorke, who was intoxicated, refused to cooperate with the investigation by not revealing his hands to police.

Rorke had to be physically restrained after a brief struggle, and was arrested.
