Fumo is charged with defrauding the state, a charity and a museum of $3.5 million in goods and services.
Prosecutors say the 65-year-old once-powerful Philadelphia Democrat defrauded the Citizens' Alliance for Better Neighborhoods out of $1.1 million by improperly taking its vehicles, power tools, staff time and other assets. A defense lawyer told jurors on Thursday that his client got relatively little from the nonprofit.
