Car hit by train, slams into house

One person was injured when their car was hit by a train, shooting it into a nearby home. It happened just after 6:00 a.m. near the intersection of Easton Road and Susquehanna Road in Abington, Montgomery County.

It was the SEPTA R2 Warminster inbound train that struck the car. The R2 was able to move on and was not seriously impacted.

The car ended up into the side of a house, but did not cause significant damage to the structure.

No word on the driver's condition.

SEPTA service is not being impacted by the collision.
