The crash ruptured several gas mains attached to the homes. The vehicle also severed a fire hydrant, which in turn caused the burst of a 44-inch water main.
Police tell Action News that two people were injured in the crash and were taken to Crozier-Chester Hospital with minor injuries.
Police and other agencies are staffing a command post at 21st and Edgemont. Authorities have closed Route 352 between 15th and 22nd Street until further notice pending clean up in the area.
