DelDOT turns to secondary roads after storm

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - March 3, 2009 Crews are continuing to plow, salt and sand secondary roads. Since crews started pre-treating roads on Sunday morning, they've used about 10,000 tons of salt.

The agency says many primary roads in New Castle County are clear and dry and primary roads in Kent County are passable. But in Sussex County blowing snow was causing significant drifting on Route 24, and crews are salting and plowing the secondary roads.
