$200,000 lamp stolen from home

Police are investigating a burglary where a Tiffany lamp was stolen. The Smyrna Police Department is investigating a residential burglary that occurred on Thursday morning in the 500 block of Marilyn Road in Smyrna.

The homeowner arrived home after a short trip and found the rear garage door had been forced opened and then forced entry into the residence from the garage.

A total of nine lamps were removed from the residence, one of them being a Tiffany Wisteria lamp valued between $200,000 and $250,000.

There were several other items taken including Silver Certificates and a full set of US State quarters from both Mints.

A grey or silver Mercedes Benz, possibly a hatchback, with a Mercedes Benz plate on the front bumper was observed in the driveway by neighbors during the above time frame.
