South Jersey police are looking at the possibility that a man fell asleep at the wheel shortly before his car hurtled off a highway and burst into flames.

The accident happened about 12:30 on Monday morning on the entrance ramp to Interstate 295 North in Bellmawr, Camden County.

Flames from the car quickly spread to the wooded area where the car crashed.

Firefighters managed to put out the flames quickly.

Amazingly, the driver was not seriously injured.
