5 injured in New Castle crash

NEW CASTLE, Del. (AP) - March 9, 2009 It happened before 7 p.m. Sunday on Maryland Avenue at Idela Avenue in New Castle.

State Police say an SUV rammed into the back of a Cadillac, which was pushed into the path of a third vehicle.

Police say five people were hospitalized, including the driver of the SUV, 34-year-old Craig Waseilewski of Wilmington. Police say Waseilewski, who was taken to Christiana Hospital in critical condition, will face charges including driving under the influence, careless driving, and driving with a suspended license.
