2-Alarm fire hits 3 Camden homes

CAMDEN, N.J. - March 9, 2009 The fire started in a home in the 1200 block of Morton Street around 8:30 Monday morning.

Firefighters had the flames under control by 8:45 a.m., but that wasn't fast enough to keep the flames from spreading to a pair of neighboring homes.

All three homes were occupied homes. Two of the houses were heavily damaged and one house received minor damage.

The two families living in the heavily damaged homes have been displaced. The other residents were able to return later in the day.

Nobody was hurt.
