A southeastern Pennsylvania third-grader is facing disciplinary action, including possible expulsion, after carrying a loaded handgun to school. Officials with the Penn Manor School District say the 9-year-old boy brought the gun in his book bag to the Central Manor Elementary School on Monday and told another student about it. That student told a teacher and police were alerted.

The boy said he thought it was a BB gun and wanted to show it off at recess.

Manor Township police are investigating but have not said whether any charges will be filed.
