Sketch released of "teen groper"

PHILADELPHIA - March 10, 2009 - Philadelphia police released a sketch of the suspect as described following an incident on March 6th, 2009.

It happened at 8:00 a.m. in the 7500 block of Germantown Avenue. Police say the victim was walking to school when a man, who appeared to be jogging, groped her buttocks.

The victim described the man as about 45-50 years old, 6'3" to 6'5" tall. Police say he has a dark complexion with a medium build.

He wore a navy blue sweat suit with red triangle patches on each sleeve and white fitted baseball cap. He was clean shaven and wearing glasses.

Investigators add, the man may walk with a limp.

The same man may be responsible for three other, similar incidents.

June 10, 2008 at 8:00 a.m. at 7000 Germantown Avenue: Police say a14-year-old girl was walking to school when a man jogged past her and groped her buttocks.

December 23, 2008 at 5:25 p.m. at 6600 Boyer Street: Police say a 17-year-old girl was waiting for a bus when a man walked past her twice, groping her buttocks as he passed. Police say the man mumbled something unintelligible.

February 5, 2009 at 8:10 a.m. at 7400 Germantown Avenue: Police say a 14-year-old girl was walking to school when a man groped her buttocks as she walked past him.

Area public and private schools and Crossing Guards have been alerted.
