The officers were able to enter the home where they immediately found a 55-year-old female on the floor of the residence who was suffering from multiple injuries. Officers attempted to administer first aid while others swept the home for other potential victims or suspects.
Inside the home in another room, police found a 55-year-old male subject who was also suffering from severe injuries. He was transported to the Christiana Hospital where he later died. The female was not removed from the home as she was pronounced at the scene by paramedics.
The identities of the victims are being withheld pending the notification of next of kin. Additional information will be released tomorrow morning.
