The killer opened fire about 10:15 Wednesday night on the 8800 block of Ditman Street.
36-year-old Ronald Prince, who resided in the 5700 block of Hazel Avenue, was shot twice in the chest.
Medics rushed him to the hospital where he died early Thursday morning.
The 43-year-old woman remains at Frankford Torresdale Hospital in critical but stable condition, having suffered a gunshot wound to the neck.
Homicide detectives have not yet indicated if they have a motive in the case, or any suspects in mind.
