The crash happened about 2:15 A.M. on Belmont Avenue near Jefferson Street.
Police say the car was traveling at a high rate of speed when it hit a wall and flipped over near railroad tracks.
The driver was taken to the University of Pennsylvania hospital with several serious injuries.
