One person ejected in Route 100 crash

UPPER EWCHLAN TWP., Pa. - March 12, 2009

The crash happened just before 6:30 a.m. along Route 100 southbound at Pennsylvania Drive in Chester County. The accident blocked the intersection.

A medical helicopter landed at the scene of the crash, forcing police to shut down the southbound lanes of Route 100. An 18-year-old man was flown to Crozer Chester Hospital with multiple injuries. There's no word on his condition.

Traffic was affected until after 8 a.m., but by 8:30 a.m. all southbound lanes had been opened to traffic again.
