On the morning of March 10th, police were called to a home on Elm Avenue for a report of a burglary. When they arrived, officers say a woman there said she and two small children had just returned home and were playing in the basement when she heard footsteps upstairs and heard the front door close.
When she went upstairs, police say she found the front door open. She looked outside and saw Ryans trying to hide behind a stone well in her front yard. Police say she yelled at him, and Ryans then casually walked off toward the Woodland County Parkland.
Police stopped Ryans late Thursday night for a traffic violance, and took him into custody.
Ryans was arraigned Friday morning and committed to the Howard Young Prison after failing to post $11,000 secured bail.
