Hay bale fire hits Delaware business

A massive hay fire in New Castle County, Delaware has been brought under control. Bales of hay went up in flames around 2:00 a.m. at John R. Stinson and Sons Incorporated on McGovern Road in Hockessin.

Firefighters from four counties were met with heavy smoke and shooting flames from the pile of hay bales 60 feet tall.

Crews from Chester, Lancaster and Delaware Counties were called in to supply water.

No word on what sparked the blaze.

The fire is expected to smolder all day.
